“Flexed bicep” emoji

I’m pretty sure by now that my family, friends and even Facebook are getting tired of hearing me go on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on (and on) about my weight-loss journey.

Cause everyone must be really fascinated about how many steps i did that day, screenshots of my fitness band, what healthy-ish plate of food i’m eating, meal prep containers… photos of me preparing meal prep containers, me wearing workout clothes, me holding dumbbells, me on a fitness mat, me looking at myself in the mirror holding my phone taking a photo (haha, i never know where to look when taking those photos).

So, why the heck would anyone be this excited about exercise?

Well, it all started back in 2018 at a doctors office… I hadn’t been feeling too good (always tired, very lethargic, mood was low). I decided to get a blood test to check my health status. I stepped on the scales and the doctor read out the numbers… 80kg (heaviest weight i have been in years in my life).

He sat me down (in his serious doctors voice) explained all the health risks i was prone to at this weight for my age/height, he advised me to try and set a goal to reach 60kg (that was 20kg to try and lose!!) Sounded impossible to me at that moment, but somehow i had to do it.

I had to get healthy healthy-ish…

This is when i had to begin a relationship with exercise (being difficult because i was already in a long term relationship with chocolate).

Now it’s 2021, i’ve been on a rollercoaster ride with my scales and lots of life changes, but i have since lost 17kg! (tonight the scales will say different, but anyway).

My most used emoji is now “flexed bicep” (the arm flexing its muscles).

My most used item is a $19 fitness band from Kmart.

My most played song is “The Business” by Tiësto.

My most used words is now “Will power!”.
