Don’t you think?
Yeh, i really do think.
Before i start writing about the irony that is my life, let’s figure out what the word actually means.
So, what is the meaning of Irony… (opens Google)
“a situation in which something which was intended to have a particular result has the opposite or a very different result.”
Basically it is… Expectation vs Outcome
Thanks for the English lesson (i love Google), in which i have also learnt that the song “Isn’t it ironic” actually has no real examples of Irony in its lyrics… but who really cares! (Don’t you think?) And, yeh, i really don’t care.
I love the song regardless of it’s lack of irony and i’ve always thought it was such brilliant songwriting with its use of unfortunate situations (possibly unofficially inspired by my life).
Oh, haha… now i have the song stuck in my head
it’s like rainnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
What was i saying… oh yeh
There are 3 types of Irony… verbal, situational and dramatic.
In my blog series “The Irony of Everything”, i’ll be writing about all three types according to my life experiences with plenty of (maybe too many) expectation vs outcome situations.
I could write a book on the irony that is my life… no, seriously!
Isn’t it ironic
